Hello, I'm Robert. I'm also in the Pirate Software server and I was scrolling through the advertising and saw your Insectivore game and that you were looking for some feedback. To begin with the pros, you are certainly skilled in pixel art. I love the style and vibe you were going for in that aspect. The mechanic of holding the mouse button and putting it somewhere specific on the screen to determine the bird's movement was also good and intuitive. I also liked the end screen that allowed you to share your score on twitter. For a game that is certainly going for a quick and arcade-like style, having that score-sharing aspect was a great addition. When I think of arcade games, one great aspect of them is the fact that at the end you can compare your score to others and essentially see how good you are compared to strangers or your friends. But because this game doesn't have an online scoreboard and isn't an in-person/local game, going for the sharing your score to twitter option is a great choice to fill that void in a sense. For some cons of the game, I feel that the game could use some more sound. I only ever hear one sound at the end of the game, so some calm/chill background music to fit your pixel art vibe would be nice. Also having some noises for the bugs, bird, and charge-up bar on the right would be great. I also think the charge-up bar on the right could have a more contrasting color (maybe red?) so that it is easier to see the charge-up from your peripheral vision. Lastly, I'd say that having a restart game button when the game is done would be perfect. When I finished playing for the first time I wanted to jump back in and get a better score, but I realized the only way to do that was by reloading the webpage. So having something built into the game would be awesome. I hope this was helpful! :)

Thank you, certainly happy to help! I went to college for game design and one issue I had with several of the teachers was that I felt like they never went in-depth with their feedback. As someone who's trying to learn from potential mistakes it annoyed me a decent amount. So I'm happy to go into detail and be helpful :)
